Las Vegas, N.V. – During the latest GOP debate Donald Trump has called for the complete and total shut down of internet service for ISIS. The debate has largely focused on the threat of terrorism to the United States. As per usual, the most attention has been called to Donald Trump and his inflammatory remarks. When asked on how to defeat ISIS his suggestion was to inhibit Isis’ access to the internet.

“No one knows the intranet [sic] better than I do,” said Trump. “What they’re doing, they’re on the Twitter and Facebook spreading this radical Islam. What we need to do is turn the switch off that delivers the intranet [sic] to these ISIS. We know where they are, we know they’re using the Wifi, we need to turn that switch off.”

Presidential hopeful, Marco Rubio agreed with Trump by saying, “ISIS is spreading their propaganda through social media and it needs to be stopped.”

Experts have touted Trump’s plan as “ridiculous”, “unfeasable”, and “the ravings of a mentally retarded madman”. But this has not slowed down the proposed internet ISIS ban proposed by Trump.

Trump had this to say on the topic of ISIS and social media. “I’ve seen them on there ya know, Muslims. I mean right on there profile page, it says that they’re Muslims. Why is that allowed? Why isn’t the FBI investigating these people? They say they’re Muslims, they’re throwing their hat in with the terrorists. When I see a Facebook person that says they’re Muslim, I flag them and I encourage fellow Americans to do the same.” Trump’s statement was met with enormous applause from his constituency.

Some critics say that this is just a continuation of Trump’s attempt to connect himself with social media. Recently he has started the “Swipe Right for Trump, Swipe Left for Muslims” campaign slogan.

Other candidates failed to substantiate themselves as serious Presidential contenders by being too moderate and coddling to domestic oriented policies. Sociologist Morgan Murray had this to say. “The American people want blood. That’s what they want to see and they want a candidate that can give it to them. Not their blood obviously, or their own children’s blood. They want to see some 19 year old kid’s blood, most likely from the lower class and probably a minority, but most definitely not themselves. That’s the kind of blood the Republicans want. And they are rooting for the candidate that can give it to them.”

Donald Trump holds the lead in the polls with no sign of slowing down. Ted Cruz has been climbing in polls but it is unclear at this point if he is a serious contender for the GOP nomination.
